Hi, I just went live on Talent Link yesterday morning and received on email from an agent within the first two hours. However, since then, I haven’t heard anything. My resume and materials are almost non existent, but I’ve done my best to showcase my talent through my own videos, and I was wondering if it’s really just…

Annette Bening visited the Stella Adler Studio in New York this week for our Harold Clurman Lecture Series and spoke beautifully about the craft of the actor. Here is a clip from the talk.

I often hear actors say things like: “I often book the audition when I have no time and just throw it on tape.” “I was about to quit acting, an audition came in and I didn’t care about it all and I booked it.” “I always book the audition I thought I did terrible on and didn’t really understand the story, I never book t…

I received this text from my rep after I politely asked a question about how they're submitting me. How would you feel about this, because I'm reeling and it feels aggressive. To the point I don't want to speak to them. Thanks in advance: Yes, I think you should call me because I want to address your text because your…

I just wanted to check in and see how many auditions people are getting. I know it’s slow, less episodes & shows are being made, etc. But I was consistently audition at the beginning of this year, and I booked a small part in a Netflix series, then it suddenly dried up. It’s making me feel antsy and like my agent isn’t…

Venting 33y-o(f) here. Everyday I feel like my acting dream isn't going to go anywhere and it makes me feel more and more depressed. I only got acting management a month ago and have been taking classes for 5+ years. I see all these actors I love and even some of my classmates, booking roles left and right and I feel i…

Here is a breakdown of my commercial submission data from January through October 2026 across Casting Frontier and Casting Networks. Is it worth having spotlight if you do not live in the UK? I’ll be there next year for a bit (and I am eligible for a 5 year working visa as poppa was born in Scotland). Hi all - I was working on a set today where the lead actor was puffing something into their eyes to make themselves cry, sort of like a tear stick, but it looked like a small mister or blower of air. It had a small pump with a red tip at the end to direct the air into the eyes. I am SO curious as to what it is, as Ive…

I’m just coming here to vent a little bit. I’ve seen a few actors lie on their Actors Access/Resume about their credits, where the credit is streaming, and/or the size of their credit. Before a single line is spoken, your body is already telling the audience a story — which is why the world's great actor training traditions all treat movement as foundational craft, not an elective.
