I'm a tall caucasian male and I speak english and mandarin. Ive been told that im too tall to be an actor. I imagine the height difference with other actors would make a weird aesthetic, and cinematographers would have problems that they dont usually need to deal with. Costume people would have a harder time acquiring…

I often wonder if actors are deliberate about the minutiae of their body language or if they just imagine themselves to be the character and react without conscious deliberation. For example I was watching the movie Burning by Chang-dong Lee. In one scene the Steven Yeun character is caught yawning inappropriately in a…

We will be shooting for maybe 2 days 3-7-20 (sat – sun) subject to change. I need some actors to collaborate for a dramatical dark, thriller type with little action music vid…

Hey all. I'm interested in becoming an actor but I don't look as good as I can. I'm kind of skinny. sitting at 20 percent body fat at the moment and I have a buzzcut. Would it be slightly easier If I first get a good body and better hairstyle? I'm about to turn 21 by the way. This might be a dumb question but I'm curio…

Hello everybody! I constantly hear that branding is important for actors. So I wanted to see what ways you use Instagram to improve your brand? Do you even use it? I think it’s bit complicated because I don’t know what to post. I feel like some people just post high quality pictures of themselves? Is it about following…

It's not that I feel discouraged, it's just that I'm starting to see myself more and more as a writer (whether of books, plays or screenplays) and a film director and I can sense how much more talent and passion I have for these fields. I still like acting and I intend to stay in my theatre club for some more time, but…

I think I'm a decent actor for the level that I'm at but the more that I become aware of my body and the more criticisms I get about my acting is usually about my body movement/language. This is probably thee most unwanted post we Actors like to talk about, but Taxes. I'm not sure if being paid as an Non-Union Actor is something we claim within a 1099-MISC if used towards business expense. So I understand that you can't really be choosy or a diva when you're at the bottom like I am, but I'm having some reservations about this "callback" self-tape audition.
